So Space Karen has set fire to Twitter, turned the bones into meal to feed to fascist / racist mouth pieces, pissed on the ashes, and I still see people who should know better announcing "follow me on Twitter."

It's unconscionable to me for people I know and respect to say "Oh I just can't be bothered" or "I don't understand those other platforms well", and instead choose to continue to tacitly endorse Twitter's values by remaining & engaging with the platform. There are better options!

Ok. I've figured out how to get around twitter's cynical and unethical blocking of all #Mastodon sites / urls: the zero-width space.
For example, you can find me at https://mstdn.io/@paw which you'll notice is not a clickable link. But you can copy-and-paste it.

The zero-width space is a special character you can search, select and copy from the Windows character map, then paste it between characters in your #Mastodon URLs to obfuscate them and allow people to see the URL text before Elone gets his grubby hands on it.
