One must understand that Bajo de Masinloc, or Scarborough Shoal, is a strategic area that can extend PLA firepower. The Philippine government must have an initiative to respond to this situation. The infographic below shows the potential of the area. @Drethegrater
Getty Images photographer Ezra Acayan captured high resolution images of China’s floating platform, along with 2 research ships operating in Bajo de Masinloc (Scarborough Shoal). 🇨🇳 said that it is conducting scientific research in the shoal, undermining 🇵🇭 claims in thereat.

The deployment of all four frigates reflects the Philippine Navy’s efforts to rebuilt its maritime presence following the retirement of its Patrol Craft Escorts. The addition of two more HDF-3200 frigates is expected to further boost operations. Set to be delivered by 2028.
Based on available information, all four Philippine Navy frigates are currently engaged in separate operations. With three operating within Philippine waters and one deployed overseas, their active status highlights the increasing operational demands across the country’s EEZ.

The Type 054B-class multirole guided-missile frigates are the Navy's newest frigate model. It's rare to see them in the waters of the West Philippine Sea, which could suggest upcoming increases in the CCP's presence in the area.
