I made a ton of progress on Coalesce yesterday. Authentication now runs in the background and survives restarts, so there's no need to keep a terminal window open.
As much as I want to go full steam ahead again, it looks like today will be filled with schoolwork.

Pretty much all of the prominent voices who supported the Iran War assured us it would be over by now. None of them will admit they were wrong. Even less will they admit that their initial assurances were based on nothing but their own wishcasting. This whole shitshow has been an enormous waste of time and resources and our country has not benefited from it at all. Its advocates have moved the goal posts repeatedly and have even to this day refused to clearly articulate what constitutes a victory and how we’ll know that it’s been achieved.

"Please don't use AI just for the sake of using AI" - Amazon SVP, in a memo to employees. Microsoft cancelled most Claude Code licences for Windows, 365, Outlook, Teams and Surface engineers because they used it too much. Uber deployed Claude Code to 5,000 engineers, hit 95% adoption, burned through its entire 2026 AI budget in 4 months. Amazon built a leaderboard tracking AI usage, watched staff run agents on pointless tasks to climb it ("tokenmaxxing"), and pulled the plug. One unnamed Fortune 20 company forgot to set spending limits on Claude licences and got a $500 million monthly bill.

Invoice Buddy v0.2.4 is out!
This version comes pre-compiled to C on Windows, making in considerably faster. File size shrunk by about half as well!
