Carlsberg's Northampton lager brewery was formally opened 50 years ago, built on the site of Phipps 1817 brewery. When we moved back to the town in 2014, many Carlsberg people, some former Phipps staff, gave us valuable support and assistance so we send our respects to them today

The structural restoration of the Old Black Lion by Midland Conservation is done. They took a derelict crumbling shell and made it safe for the future. Still a long way to go installing services and internal finishes. Hopefully we will open in Autumn #oldestpubinNorthampton
