Trust me you want to read this. 🫵🏽6 things i would do if i was transitioning from a 9-5 to a fulltime trader. 🏋🏽‍♂️🕯Master discipline ~ This is the bedrock of everything, putting your body and mind through intentionally vigorous and rigorous work not only improves your discipline in daily life but when applied in trading it makes trading much easier. Harnessing discipline in your daily life sharpens focus which is paramount in trading. 📚🌱Do your own research ~ Use Babypips, youtube and etc, having general prior knowledge of trading in general is essential so you don't go in blindly. ✍🏽🧠Learn the skill from 1 person/mentor ~ Emphasis on this because beginners tend to be attracted to the expensive life style of "Rich traders" who genuinely have nothing to offer. This is why uninfluenced prior knowledge is important, it helps you filter out the actual traders from clout chasers. Follow a trader who can do a proper trade break down, not just a trader who does big numbers. 📉🏃🏽‍♂️Practice makes patience not perfect ~ After learning said skill, it is ever so important you practice what you were taught, your mentor can only teach you so much, the rest is left to you, why? because practice builds experience and experience builds patience, how? because a trader without patience is nothing but a gambler, when you get in the real market you realize its not all about buying and selling. 💱💸Master risk control ~ This essentially means don't spend your entire paycheck on funding, PLEASE! Which is why these comparisons need to stop. This isn’t the music industry. This isn’t football. We’re not competing for a chart position or a trophy. We’re all here to make money and change our lives. Comparison culture in this space is just noise and it costs people more than they realise. Respect the ones who inspired you.
