It begs the question: will that wish ever materialize? The reality on the ground says a resounding no. Stadium capacity does not equal voting power. The EFF managed to completely fill the Moses Mabhida Stadium in KZN just two weeks before the national elections, yet they still suffered a devastating 7% drop in KwaZulu-Natal votes, losing roughly 270,000 voters. If they cannot convert a packed stadium into actual election victory, then filling up the Union Buildings to capacity means absolutely nothing. They have consistently failed to turn performative hype into real political power.
