Don't let billionaires buy Utah.
AI titans are spending $1.3M to shape Utah primaries. Defending Our Values, run by Chris Stewart, spent $880K to support Rep. Celeste Maloy. DOV operates under Stewart's Public First which got $20M from Anthropic. Think Big spent $450K to support Ben McAdams. TB is directed by Leading the Future which got $100M from OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman & Silicon Valley investors. deseret.com/politics/2026/06…

Ew
Hey @BenMcAdams–why are you taking campaign contributions from @BasedMikeLee's former chief of staff Spencer Stokes, former executive director of the Utah GOP and lobbyist for fossil fuels, pharma, and the @StatePolicy Network?

Fuck yes!
if i ran a restaurant in san francisco, i’d raise prices to psychotic levels. $49 caesar salad. $32 fries. $24 sparkling water. then i’d offer steep discounts based entirely on where you work. teacher? discount. nurse? discount. city employee? discount. barista? discount. artist? discount. openai, anthropic, meta, or google? zero discount, full price. surge pricing based on pure economics. is this illegal?

Powder Mountain to retire the Sunrise Poma next summer, ending public lift access to Cobabe Canyon. Homeowners will have access via private lifts and anyone can still hike there. powdermountain.com/blog/2026…

Oh no. That is *my* Crown Burger.
A Crown Burgers restaurant has closed indefinitely after an attic fire broke out above the kitchen and spread to the roof of the Utah burger chain before being extinguished Thursday morning. ow.ly/3A3b50Z5ivC

It's been a while since I shared my work here. In between angry political posts, I spend my time riding bikes and taking pictures. I'm a working outdoor photographer. Here's a picture of my wife from last weekend. I love this country and I love Utah.

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it. Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying. Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence." Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter." Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter. They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created. One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility." Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies. That's the metered intelligence business model. And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.
SAM ALTMAN: “WE SEE A FUTURE WHERE INTELLIGENCE IS A UTILITY, LIKE ELECTRICITY OR WATER, AND PEOPLE BUY IT FROM US ON A METER.”

The GOP is the pedo party.
BREAKING: Adam Hoffman has been released from jail for "good behavior." Hoffman is the 49-year-old Waco, TX attorney who faced life without parole for repeatedly raping a young boy, until Texas AG Ken Paxton offered him 1 day in jail and no need to register as a sex offender. A judge increased his sentence to a whopping 60 days. He got out in 30 days. This is MAGA's vision for the USA. Full story: letsaddresstexas.substack.co…

Don't forget the LCC gondola that no one wants.
The political establishment in Utah has utterly failed us. Inland Port. Draper Prison relocation. All done in secret and revealed at last minute after it’s already decided at last moment to make well-connected even richer. They are killing GSL. Follow. The. Money. #utpol

Hard no on any candidates taking money from AIPAC or their proxies.
Big news today in our race: multiple reports show other candidates with big conflicts of interest. The Lever reported on the Better Blue Fund, a joint fundraising committee tied to Ben McAdams that takes money from AIPAC's biggest donors and sends it to their most reliable votes in Congress.
