World Cup 2026 is getting a $10,000 ladder. I’m starting the challenge with one goal: climb as high as I can and make the whole thing public. Every step counts. Every miss hurts. Every win makes the next one feel bigger than it should. If this ladder starts moving during the World Cup, it’s going to be stupid fun to follow. Join here: picksoffice.com/ladder

Paredes makes this a bullpen game before it looks like one. He has thrown 10.1 MLB innings, and his longest outing at any level this season is 68 pitches. Texas gets the starter look, then real innings against a Minnesota pen that just had to cover 16.1 innings in five days. Gore has the name on the other side, but the traffic has followed him around lately. His last two starts: 17 hits, six walks, and 182 pitches across 9.2 innings. Minnesota is also running eight right-handed or switch bats at him. Gore can miss bats, but this lineup shape is annoying when his command is already making every inning longer. Over 8.5 is the play.

Alvarez's box score is hiding the annoying part. I’m buying Kansas City because the traffic keeps showing up. Alvarez has allowed 14 hits and 8 walks over his last 11.2 innings, and Washington has pulled him before the sixth in both starts this month. That pushes this into the middle innings early. The Nationals’ bullpen is running a 7.53 ERA over the last week, so I don’t want to pay for Washington like the handoff is clean. Spence is the ugly reason the number is sitting at 115. But KC is hitting .282 with a .744 OPS over its last 10, and this matchup gives those bats a real lane. I’ll take Witt and the livelier lineup against the shakier full-game pitching path.

Spain's second wave is a horrible thing to meet on debut. This is the one Spain game where the attacking depth matters more than the starting XI. They hit 21 goals in six qualifiers, and the control is boring in the worst way for Cape Verde: Rodri, Pedri and Fabian Ruiz putting the match in one half until something cracks. Cape Verde earned the trip, but the clean defensive story came at home. Away from that, Cameroon put four past them and Libya got three, and neither side can keep the ball away from them like Spain can. Lamine on the bench only adds to the stress. Cape Verde still has to save legs for him after spending the first wave chasing Spain's midfield. I want the four-goal game from Spain pressure and Spain depth.

Ended the NBA season 43.2 units. That came out to $108,000 profit with a 55% hit rate. I’m proud of the number, but I’m more grateful for the people who rode through the whole thing. The random Tuesday sweats, the brutal fourth quarters, the DMs after a bad beat, the replies when a number moved, the people who tailed, faded, questioned, and still showed up the next night. NBA betting is never as clean as the final record makes it look. There were missed reads, disgusting beats, weird rotations, and plenty of nights where the right number still lost. But over a full season, the work held up. Appreciate you guys for following along all year. Seriously. Good season. On to the next board.

I know, this looks gross. The whole series has been goals and Hart has basically been a problem every night. I’m still not chasing it. Bussi changed the feel for Carolina. Vegas losing Karlsson takes away a real two-way center. And with the Cup in the building, Carolina is much happier turning this into board work and exits than another track meet. Give me the 6. Under 6 (-105).
