🧬 Biology students explored genetics by creating and decoding a "DNA recipe" for man's best friend! After pulling their DNA sequence at random, they drew their unique dogs and compared traits with classmates. What a fun way to see how DNA variations shape our traits! 🐢🐾

Last week in Pre-AP Biology, students used bubbles 🫧 to model cell membrane fluidity and selective permeability. Students added rubber bands to represent protein channels, allowing larger objects to pass through ➑️ their bubble! #Cultivate @PieperHS

Our science teachers are AMAZING! Biology teachers analyzed trends in STAAR data, how TEKS have been assessed, and the impact of the new TEKS adoption. Depth & complexity was introduced to increase critical thinking and they are all in! @SecondaryComal @ComalCurriculum @cisdnews
