Just a reminder that @pikegrey1418 and I are immensely proud of the fact that Ring of Fire has been nominated for book of the year. If you appreciated the four years we put into it and would be kind enough to cast a vote, we would appreciate it military-history.org/books/m…

Ok, am I hallucinating, or is that a bear wearing a peaked cap, pilot's goggles and leather flying gloves in the back of that Benz? (Photo shows pilots of the Russian 17th Corps Aviation Detachment, 1915)

During our day yesterday, we passed a lot of interesting places. One of them was Tidworth Military Cemetery where we were looking for the Headstone of Esther Maud Tubman, the only woman in the cemetery, with a headstone from FWW, which we finally found, looking at other photos, comparing the background etc. It was really hard to find. Nearby I also found a headstone of a Danish soldier, Hansen, who served for Australia, with the Epitaph in Danish, which I have never seen before. I have seen around 4-5 headstones with epitaph in Swedish, but never in Danish. I have informed @PikeGrey1418 about it. 😊 More to come about the rest of the day. @dr_wendym_RN

[Fourth-Wall Break] 90,000 FOLLOWERS! I started this account eight years ago in January 2018 [“1918”] to cover the end of the First World War, and back then I had no clue I would maintain it into the 1920s. Thank you all for following along so far and I’m looking forward to celebrating the 1930s and beyond with you!
