Flew into the @midlandsairfest @RagleyHall yesterday.
A superb event at a wonderful location for #Airshow .
Made a low approach & Go Around; so glad we did as runway orientation different from a previous visit.

Arriving at one of my favourite #Airstrips on the hottest day of the year. #NATS @BristolAirport were brilliant inbound & outbound. As we backtracked, a small deer hurtled across the strip…..glad it wasn’t a minute earlier.

Landing at Wadswick earlier this week. The Windsock was gone. The saplings in the Runway 28 undershoot suggest that the neighbour is not endeared to aviation and seems to lack an appreciation of airfield safeguarding.@Flyer_Magazine

Meet ‘Webley’ the gorgeous #Husky and his owner.
I said I too had a Husky and she started looking for 4 legs, attached to a lead😁.
So I suggested she look at a green #Aeroplane parked on the ramp in view; 🐸, the #AviatHusky of course.

Some pilots that I looked up to, always said that after a failed 2nd Approach, divert. Only disregarded this advice once as I knew my initial failings. This is a real ‘butt clenching’ UK #Farmstrip # #Airstrip not for the feint hearted. Saw 1 land, after the 5th attempt today☹️

And after watching some of yesterday’s #Goarounds , his words, ‘Coming down is the hardest thing’ rang true for one or two #Pilots in their #Aircraft .
