Hi. I used to go by “TheClubXbox”.
I once planned to build content around Xbox, but when I finally had the time, I realized that space just isn’t for me. Too much negativity, drama, and childish noise. That’s not how I live my life, so I’m not bringing it online either.
Life forced a reset recently. So I made one here too.
Same guy though. Still gaming when I can. Always will, for as long as I’m able.

Nice to get that clarification from XBOX on the in-game ads claims. It would be the move that ended XBOX. Keep those ads away, find other ways to monetize

This is not correct:
• In the interview, I am asked about a comment I made before being hired at XBOX, then state that I was only 10 days into the role, and that I am not stating the company's plans or beliefs
• What I do say is that ads should be used to offer more affordable alternatives alongside today's ad-free experiences, in the hopes more could play as a result. Similar to how Netflix and Disney have ad-tiers with all the same content, but at half the price or so
• At no point do I even mention in-game ads
(I personally believe interrupting the gameplay experience would be bad)

Looking at this objectively and not from a lense of what I want, if @XBOX is going to leverage Activision Blizzard, as soon as that 10 year deal that prevents CoD exclusivity is over, they need to make it Xbox/PC only. That would force a lot of players from Playstation to Xbox or PC. Either way it would cripple Playstation.
Again, not what I want. I wish exclusives wasn't a thing, but that's unfortunately not how it works

This is a new era of transparency.

That's not quarterly but annually. Xbox has made $16.8 bn revenue so far in this fiscal year (FY26).

You're not going to grow your brand by cutting in marketing. I'm curious to how they even get to that conclusion. Even the most powerful companies with the most recognizable brands keeps on pushing hard on marketing. Because you need to be in people's face, front and center!
