An intelligent housefly follows the coffin up to the grave then heads back home after the burial. A stupid housefly goes down the grave with the coffin. Hallo Mt Kenya!

I am in no position to advise William Ruto. But history will judge him on one simple question: what did he do with the opportunity Kenyans gave him? He had five years to transform this country and become one of the greatest presidents Kenya has ever produced. He had the power, the numbers in Parliament, the goodwill of millions of Kenyans, and the resources of the State behind him. He could have waged a serious war against corruption. He could have lowered the cost of living. He could have fixed our collapsing healthcare system, strengthened education, created jobs, and given hope to ordinary families struggling to survive. Had he done that, Kenyans themselves would be demanding that he stay longer. They would be celebrating him, not questioning him. A wise leader spends his first years serving the people and earns his reward through their gratitude. But greed has a way of blinding people. There is a reason old stories say a hyena swallowed blood-smeared stones thinking it was meat. There is a reason the hyena tore itself apart trying to follow two paths at the same time. The day William Ruto took the oath of office, Kenyans expected a president focused on fulfilling his promises. Instead, it often appeared as though the next election became the priority before the current term had even begun. The tragedy is not that he lacked opportunity. The tragedy is that he had every opportunity. Many leaders dream of reaching State House. William Ruto reached it. Yet instead of concentrating on building a lasting legacy through service, he seemed determined to build political permanence. Power is never remembered for how long it lasted. It is remembered for what it achieved. That is the judgment every leader must eventually face.

Dear Gachagua: When were you circumcized? In Kikuyu culture, you cannot INSULT a man circumcised long after you. It is a sign of testicular disorder. One TESTACLE. Why does Dennis Itumbi, a young man, irritate you? Is it DEFICIT masculinity? Let the YOUNG MAN be @OleItumbi

We’ve celebrated SPLM leaders, appreciated & praised them for liberating SouthSudan. They rewarded themselves by controlling country & its resources for 21 yrs. But they still destroyed it for individual gain, in the name of “we liberated it.” Liberated it, so you can kill it?

The continued tragedy of SouthSudan is not that President Kiir and team have run the country into the ground, this is obvious! The real pain is that 21 yrs on, the President thinks that he still has something to deliver if left to remain in power longer!

Tom Mboya lay unconscious, bleeding profusely from his chest. The assassin, who later turned out to be Nahashon Isaac Njenga, quickly disappeared amidst the confusion, having pumped two bullets into Mboya’s chest- 5 July 1969🇰🇪 Tom Mboya, a prominent Kenyan Cabinet Minister, was assassinated on the afternoon of Saturday, July 5, 1969, on Government Road (now Moi Avenue) in Nairobi. Mboya was gunned down outside Chhani's Pharmacy (also referred to as Chani's Chemist), where he had stopped to buy lotion. As he stepped out of the pharmacy at approximately 1:30 PM, an assassin opened fire, shooting him twice in the chest. The force of the bullets pushed Mboya back into the shop, where the pharmacist, Mrs. Mohinni Chhani, attempted first aid and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. He was rushed by ambulance to Nairobi Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. The assassin Nahashon Isaac Njenga Njoroge, a former KANU youth winger who had received military training in Bulgaria, was arrested on July 9, 1969.Upon his arrest, he reportedly asked: "Why don't you go after the big man?". This phrase solidified public belief that the murder was a state-sponsored conspiracy to eliminate a powerful political figure. His death caused significant unrest, with protesters rioting at his funeral and even stoning the car of President Jomo Kenyatta

I always promise myself to stop writing or talking about South Sudan, even switching my academic work elsewhere. But she keeps drawing me back with her unfunny politics of liberation, failed governance & injustice that plagues her people under government of lies, gossip & greed!

So Santino Deng Wol takes SouthSudan army thrown & his first order of business was ceasefire in Upper Nile. Kudos. But was he ordered by President or he decided on his own? Does this mean chief of defence forces declares war & end war? Or is this setting up Dr Nang as war monger?
