Finished SNOOP by @gordonkorman & thought it had a great modern take on what snooping looks like today. And though even though you can, doesn’t mean you should. Loved the inclusion of drones, live streaming, etc. A modern tale of a modern teen snoop. Check it out in the Library!
My latest read by @gordonkorman
…SLUGFEST. A great choice for summer!! Korman books always seem to “get” the trials and tribulations of middle school. And shows how no matter our differences we can learn from one another. I’m moving on to SNOOPED next!
Continuing my @gordonkorman read-a-thon the last two weeks so I can honestly share the books with my students. OLD SCHOOL. Potential for so many discussions & community projects with the elderly. It’s worth checking out! 7th grade Library Club member Rosalie agrees with me! 👍
I’ve been on a @gordonkorman read the last week or two. I am so happy to share that I loved Hypergifted!! Ungifted is one of my most recommended books for MS students & I really liked the spin on the 3rd book. Check out all 3 books in the Library!! #faveMSauthor#dreamschoolvisit
From Library Club and the Plainedge MS Library, Happy National Library week!! According to Albert Einstein, “The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library.” Be sure and stop in Room 301 and soon in our new library on the first floor!
Some 8th grade Library Club members staying afterschool to help plan the 8th grade Legacy project for the new Library. We are really going to miss this crew!
STREAM club putting final touches on their Winter Olympic Lego Village!! We lost some time with a snow day, but they are working hard! It will be on display soon!
Some 8th grade regulars hanging out at lunch in our temporary Library space in Room 301. Come up at lunch to play board games, puzzles, crafts, “Maker,” to do homework or just hang out!! What am I going to do without my 8th grade regulars next year??
Mrs. Simonetti and Miss Avery’s 7th grade Advisory classes enjoyed some munchkins, games and crafts to celebrate the holidays. We have such a polite and kind group of students. Happy holidays to all!!
Making the most of our time in our temporary Library on the 3rd floor while renovations continue. Library club has made so many decorations and the holiday season is in full swing. We can make a library community wherever we are!! ❄️❄️
Building and testing our pumpkin catapults in STREAM Club. We have a few categories to test, such as accuracy and distance. Next week we test with our candy pumpkins!! And a surprise category will be announced for testing! Stay tuned!
STREAM Club inventing Apple
Catchers to protect apples from bruising when they fall from a tree. Testing materials and design styles, sharing ideas and reworking. Next week we test!
Our 7th grade regulars hanging out in the Library at lunch. Congrats to Rachel for being Library Club 7th grader of the month!! Always so happy to see this group!
If you haven’t stopped by the Library in Room 301…check out our quote of the day!! Email Mrs. Sim to suggest a quote or come by and write it on the board yourself! All staff & students welcome to submit! Sometimes the right quote can really have an impact on your thinking!
Thanks to all the students who participated in the Student Activities Fair 2025!! Thank you to students in Library, Newspaper and STREAM club for representing and talking to new members!! We’re lucky to have you!!
