The Knicks starting five that just won the NBA title, by draft slot: #1 — Karl-Anthony Towns (2015, Timberwolves) #10 — Mikal Bridges (2018, Sixers --> Suns) #23 — OG Anunoby (2017, Raptors) #30 — Josh Hart (2017, Jazz --> Lakers) #33 — Jalen Brunson (2018, Mavericks) A #1 pick and three guys taken outside the top 20. Knicks certainly have that team of destiny feel…

Congrats to the Knicks and all of their fans who waited a long time for this one! 🏆 Brunson was spectacular! To do what he did tonight after being hounded all series by a great group of defensive guards makes it all the more impressive.

Spurs obviously have an incredibly bright future. They dominated for long stretches of the series but simply couldn’t close games out.

Knicks making all the big plays down the stretch of a tight game once again. Spurs continue to turn to Fox who has struggled mightily and has missed a ton of wide open 3’s.

If Wemby hits the jumper to win game 2, we are having a totally different conversation about this series. Spurs have held double digit leads in every game of the Finals so far… dominant first half for SAS!

I’ve always said, a series never truly begins until a road team loses a game

Wemby and Castle were incredible tonight! What a gutty win for such a young Spurs team at MSG after a gut punch loss in game 2.

Long way still to go in this series, but game 1 only reinforced this feeling…

Dylan Harper came in and seemed to settle the Spurs down, providing a big offensive and defensive spark. It’s unreal to say that about a 20 year old guard in the first game of the Finals!

Bombshell indeed! Is it okay to like this trade for both teams? I like Verse and he’s 5 years younger for a Browns team that isn’t close to contending. Obviously Garrett’s production is far superior right now and the Rams are clearly going for it. Like it for both sides.

The Spurs have arrived in the Finals, way ahead of schedule, after knocking off the Champs on the road in game 7. Unreal To be a Spurs fan for the next decade…

What a great first half of Spurs-Thunder Game 7! SGA was terrific, and McCain gave them a nice scoring spark again. But they’ll need someone else to step up in 2nd half. Fox was a big spark for Spurs for the first time in the series. Wemby was solid but Thunder making him work, will be interesting to see what he has in the tank the rest of the way.

Wild first half of game 6! Wemby was sensational with 22 and 6, and i love how aggressive he was with 16 fga. Harper was terrific off the bench. For OKC, they are hanging around down only 7. Got a big boost from Cason Wallace with 11 off the bench.

I don't understand tying a restriction to a traded pick to the original team. It's already going to be harder for bad teams to get top picks with the flatter odds, why should a team like Memphis be punished if the Jazz get lucky in the lottery? Per Bontemps, "A team immediately affected is Memphis. Because the Utah Jazz had the No. 5 pick last year, and the No. 2 pick this year, their pick will be unable to land in the top five next season. That immediately devalues an asset Memphis acquired only 3½ months ago in exchange for Jaren Jackson Jr. Though sources said there was a chance -- though remote -- the system could be amended to account for that Memphis pick, and thus giving the Grizzlies a chance at a top-five selection."

From this list, only Koa Peat is staying in the NBA draft, a pretty decent hit especially to the depth in the second round. Haven't seen a confirmed report on Meleek Thomas' status. Staying in NBA Draft Koa Peat Returning to NCAAB Amari Allen Tounde Yessoufou Tyler Tanner Milan Momcilovic Jeremy Fears Andrej Stojakovic Billy Richmond Unconfirmed Meleek Thomas
Several potential 1st round picks on this list.
