Devlog #3 – February 2025: The Art of Losing Progress
January was the honeymoon phase. February was the month I learned that cathedrals sometimes collapse. Here's the thing about solo development: there's no one to tell you "that's a bad idea." No producer to say "scope it down." No designer to remind you that feature creep is a slow poison. Just you, your code, and 3 AM versions of yourself that think adding a full dialogue system right now is a completely reasonable decision.

The Swipe That Changed Everything Mid-February, I had a breakthrough. I'd been wrestling with how to make the card selection feel natural. Clicking felt too slow. Dragging felt clunky for a mobile-first design. Then I remembered something my composer brain knew well: rhythm.
