I know this is gonna be a hot take and probably a take that will get me flamed, but I want to voice this out. Personally I don’t like the idea of using the meta knight clause. I understand the logic but I think steve players should still be able to ban (1/?)

With King 2026 over, I’ve come to make an announcement. I am looking to get in for SJ SUMMIT. Since I graduate this coming fall semester and I live in central/north jersey territory, I am more likely unable to qualify next year or through normal events. Hence #Playmaker4summit
The next Qualifier Event for SJ Summit is this Saturday at King 2026! The highest placing SJ PLAYER that isn’t already invited to SJ Summit will automatically qualify. More details below 👇

steve stage counterpick rule is dumb. It does nothing but benefit characters who are incredibly stage dependent, and all of those characters do not need this rule to beat steve. All this does is alienate a player base from entering the largest event due to ranking concerns. Ggs.

I want to point this out as well. I’m not a steve apologist. I hate the character with a burning passion. However, I am someone that believes that hard work and determination outweigh how broken your character is. (4/?)

Acola didn’t get to where he is by mashing alone. If that was the case, we’d be seeing only steves in top 8s or lil timmy in top 32 because he played steve for the first time that day. My final note is that the steve or metaknight clause does ruin the integrity of the game.
