This year has been SO amazing for horror movies so far, I lovelovelove Obsession, Backrooms, The Bone Temple and Hokum all for such different reasons and I could talk about all of them for hours, I LOVE MOVIESSSS

Just saw Backrooms, thought it was awesome!! Loved how it took its time to build atmosphere and make things unsettling
The ambient score and a lot of the imagery was GREAT
Also liked the route it went thematically and how that tied into the backrooms as a concept!

I do think some of the therapy session dialogue was a little lackluster, but honestly the rest of the movie more than made up for that, the strong atmosphere and some of the character moments and themes also did actually connect with me and I loved how strange it got! 4/5

The reason the fnaf movies have such high audience scores is bc most of the reviews are this
The audience rating on RT is worthless for movies like this because an entire fandom of 14 yr olds can just spam leave positive reviews that dont reflect the movies actual quality at all

Iโm so glad I didnโt go to see Backrooms on opening weekend because these kinds of movies that are adapting something popular spawned from the internet seem to attract ppl that only watch movies via clips on Youtube Shorts and none of them know how to act in a movie theatre
