Thank you to the thousands of City workers who kept New York running throughout the Knicks’ Finals run as well last night after yesterday’s celebrations. To the members of the NYPD, FDNY, EMS, DSNY, DOT, and every City worker who showed up, did their job, and helped keep New Yorkers safe: I cannot thank you enough. Whether you were responding to emergencies, staffing events, directing traffic, cleaning our streets, or working behind the scenes in ways most people never see, your dedication made this historic moment possible for millions of New Yorkers. By the time many of us woke up this morning, the city was ready for another day because of your work. I join millions of your fellow New Yorkers in saying thank you.

As the recipient of several of those appearance through @hood_medicine, I can verify that @PeterHotez has indeed not been paid to literally save hundreds of thousands of not millions of lives. He does it from a place of scientific and sincere responsibility for mankind.
Weird pushback on my @CNN appearances, here’s the reality: for my thousands of appearances, literally thousands, I’ve not been paid a dime. I haven’t asked, they haven’t offered. I do it bc it’s important to educate the public about science and medicine and also the processes of science, what it means to be working physician-scientist. I love it, I love the people at CNN most I’ve only met virtually. I think the anchors and producers are good, kind, and ethical journalists, and they work hard to get it right. That’s it.

You really wanna talk about those public pools and why so many of them disappeared?
I'm watching the film ā€œSandlotā€ with our kids and just realized that the film’s version of America with baseball, public pools, county fair, block parties, etc is almost extinct.

It’s clear that Kamala picked Tim because she wanted to scale the work he’s done in Minnesota on a national level. They would have been the most progressive administration we’ve ever had.
🚨 HUGE: Minnesota is now giving families up to 1,750 dollars per child per year to fight childhood poverty.

Andrew look in the mirror & repeat after me: I AM NOT GOVERNOR OF NY I RESIGNED IN DISGRACE (because I wrote a book to fill my pockets & tout my self-perceived greatness during covid, lied about nursing home deaths and felt up my young aide) I LOST THE ELECTION FOR NYC MAYOR

My Fraternity brother once said "individuals can be smart, but people are often stupid..." He rests his case...
A group of unlucky drivers in Miami, Florida pulled up behind a row of parked cars expecting them to move. Kyle James Converse, who filmed this video, said he watched the line form from when the first car stopped behind a series of parked vehicles.

You constituted a nuisance on this app before the last elections. You blamed Biden and Harris almost every time their names popped up in your post. They didn't lose because of Isreal, they lost because of myopic idiots like you.

The people rallying behind Jaden Ivey claiming he’s being persecuted must have forgotten about the Orlando Magic’s Jonathan Isaac, who is anti-BLM, didn’t stand for the national anthem when his teammates took a knee, developed a clothing line that he said was an alternative to ā€œwokeā€ companies like Nike (his words), publicly criticized the White House under Joe Biden for Transgender Visibility Day and even spoke at Charlie Kirk’s Believer’ Summit. Still cashing NBA checks.

Interestingly, our skate parks here in Japan, pretty much the same, never faced those hurdles. We found a clever life-hack for the pandemic: following professional advice and thinking of others without coercive enforcement necessary. By choosing civic duty in a pandemic over 'main character energy,' we kept our death/infection rates way down and our parks open. It’s amazing what a population of adults can accomplish when they’re all pulling in the same direction, instead of ā€œmy rights!ā€ crybabies.
