Polk County Fire Rescue (PCFR) is a division of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners. PCFR provides fire, EMS, emergency management, to Polk County.
Four years has passed since the line of duty death of friend and colleague Douglas Clemons #0455.
Clemons began his career with Polk County EMS in 1995 and served his community for 27 years.
Doug Clemons’ legacy lives on in the hearts of PCFR members and those he served.

Polk County Fire Rescue recently recognized members of its Community Emergency Response Teams. The 296 CERT members contributed more than 13,300 volunteer hours during the past year. Their efforts help Polk County recover in the event of an emergency.
Polk County Fire Rescue and Davenport Fire Department members came together to help the community during Water Safety Month. The members spoke with residents about pool safety and provided free pool alarms, door/window alarms and educational material.

Polk County Fire Rescue crews recently treated and transported a sick child after a mother’s tire blew out while driving to the hospital. The mother was worried about getting her car home after crews transported the child, but PCFR staff were quick to help out.
