I’m drawn to the lower resolution for this reason....
Historical artifacts are also “low resolution” in a way, fragmented by time, erosion and distance 🏛️✨
They don’t show us everything, but that loss becomes part of their beauty.
I love playing with resolution in my own work too.
For me it can feel like the breath of time.... like wrinkles on a face, or distortion becoming memory.
Maybe lower resolution is not less information, but a different kind of intimacy?
Which resolution do you prefer? I generally love the dense interwoven colors, but there's also something nostalgic about the dimensionality and texture at lower resolution
