Today we took delivery of a new arrival at our ground. These could come in handy if recent weather is anything to go by.
With massive thanks to our sponsors Nicholson & Morgan Solicitors and United Wholesalers
MATCH OFF!
Despite a slight improvement in conditions and the best efforts of our groundstaff Andy and
Dave, the ground at Ponteland is still too wet for a game to take place this Saturday
Our 2nd XI fixture at home to @BomarCC is therefore cancelled.
MATCH OFF!
Given the awful weather and the fact our ground resembles a swimming pool, we have made the early and easy decision to cancel this Saturday’s season opening fixture for our First XI against @Swalwell_CC
PROMOTION!
Not the way we would have wanted it but a total wash out ☔️ across the @NTCLCricket Division 4 today means our 2nd XI finish in second place and thus are promoted to Division 3 for the 2024 season
Congratulations to @BomarCC who go up as champions! 🏆
☔️ MATCH OFF!☔️
Rain, rain go away!
With the state of the Ponteland pitch more akin to a swimming pool and given the fact it’s now raining AND tomorrow’s forecast is atrocious, an early decision has been taken and tomorrow’s 2nd XI Derby v @KirkleyCC has been abandoned.
Yet another win for our 3rd XI on Thursday in the battle of the top 2, in what is turning out to be a fantastic season, great knocks at the top of the order from Gravesy and the Skip as we stay in first with 3 games to go!
Today, like all cricket supporters, we are turning #redforruth
The club has made a donation to the Ruth Strauss Foundation in memory of Rebecca Pinnock, a long time supporter of our club.

With 2 wins from 3 to top the group we faced Tynemouth in the final. Impressive batting performances from Vic and Vinita meant we set a challenging target. With Tynemouth needing 10 runs off the last 2 overs. Vinita kept it tight then Gagandeep took 2 wickets to complete the win
A win and a tie on Saturday with several strong individual performances as well as a great collective team effort from the 1s in a game that was going either way on several occasions
That is 7 wins in a row in the league now for the 3XI with a massive 10 wicket win against Newcastle City. Currently top of the league, just have to keep going.
