My lasting memory is looking up into the roof of the stadium and seeing a red balloon pop in the iron rafter things. That was on 81 minutes played. Was prophetic of Pools bubble bursting. Never liked pools playing in red.

On this day 21 years ago. Play off final at Cardiffβs Millennium Stadium. The biggest day in the clubβs history as Pools were 8 minutes from the Championship before losing 4-2 in extra time to Sheffield Wednesday
