Liv was so sick here. She had started a new round of chemo just two months earlier, and a week before our dream trip to Japan, the doctors told us it wasn’t working—we were nearly out of options. The tumors on her knee and hip were causing her so much pain.
And yet, even in the midst of all that, she was determined to soak up every ounce of joy she could find. She refused to let anything steal the magic of her dream trip.
That is the kind of strength I reach for every single day.
I miss her every minute of every day. 💔
The Story Behind Liv’s Stargrace Foundation Logo 💫
Liv loved to draw — especially anime. She would sketch on anything she could get her hands on: notebooks, napkins, scraps of paper, you name it.
The night she passed away, I found this drawing tucked away in the kitchen drawer. It was a self-portrait she had done of herself as a magical girl, holding her star wand.
The outfit? She picked it out herself at a little boutique on Takeshita Street in Harajuku during her last trip to Japan — a trip full of joy, wonder, and memories we’ll treasure forever. It’s also the outfit we chose for to be buried in.
We had her original drawing turned into stickers to hand out at her memorial service, a little piece of her light to share with everyone who loved her.
And now, with Grok’s help, we’ve brought her drawing to life as the official logo for Liv’s Stargrace Foundation. Same blonde hair. Same beautiful green eyes. Same spark of magic.
Where stars meet grace — one child, one family, one dream at a time.
This logo isn’t just art. It’s Liv. Her creativity, her spirit, her fight, and her endless hope living on.
Thank you for walking this journey with us. We’re just getting started. 💖
