Racial equity consultant Scott Winn, is guiding the Port in our efforts to lead with a racial equity lens as part of our 2023 Diversity Summit, a three-week conference for employees. He says, "Why lead with racial equity? As an example, if we identify 20 barriers for kids graduating HS, but then think of the additional maybe 20 barriers that only students of color face, we may have another 20…” Big thanks to the dozens of diversity, equity, and inclusion practitioners like Scott who are leading sessions to educate employees and help develop cultural competency at work. #PoPDiversity #DiversityMonth
