In short, Somewhere between San Diego and Long Beach stretching a water pipe line about 260 miles to Lake Mead in southern Nevada. Lake Mead elevation is 1250 feet. The Boring Company could play an essential ROLE going over & through the low level passes around 4000 feet. A desalinization process or plant would need to be part of it at the beginning or at the very end of the pipeline near the Lake’s shoreline. CAN IT BE DONE? It is possible to do it. Engineering wise - Yes. The benefit? Filling Lake Mead would solve the vexing long term drought and the Water problems of all Southern, Nevada Las Vegas/Henderson, all of Arizona Phoenix/Tucson, Southern California, the Salton Sea, relieve Utah, in sum providing permanent supply of water for 45 Million people in the region. Capital & Revenue: Conceivably 20,000,000 water rate payers who will directly benefit could pay a water surcharge of $20 a month or $400 million per month gross revenue to pay off the investors or bond holders who would capitalize the entire project. There would be little or no objection to this small rate increase because everyone is facing severe crippling water shortages. I truly HOPE you and Key allies are reading this post. Of course the details and engineering need to be flushed out to turn this idea into reality.
