Big Thanks are needed for Jay and Mark from Portland College. Jay and Mark delivered exceptional Autism training, to all staff teams in school on Wednesday. It was such personal and practical presentation. This training will help us offer the very best support for our learners.

🏊‍♂️ Portland Day Services joined the Charity Swimathon hosted by Mansfield Rotary & Armchair Club, raising over £400! Citizen Georgia Large & the team swam their best, cheered on by supporters. Georgia said, “It was great, I’d love to do it again!” Thank you to all donors! 💙👏

Last month, Communicate teaching staff proudly presented a £400 cheque to Rainbows Hospice in memory of Portland learner Owen Porter. Owen’s family, along with a Rainbows representative, attended. The funds were raised through a bake-off, cake sale, and donations. 🌈💜 #InMemory

Earlier this month, we welcomed our 2023-2024 Charity of the Year, Jerry Green Dog Rescue, for a special cheque presentation. 🐾 Thanks to our amazing community, we raised £2,715.71 through volunteering, donations, and events like our dog show and charity shops! 🙌💙

Our Nottingham Campus learners took their first educational trip to Wollaton Hall & the Walled Gardens! They enjoyed a garden tour, explored exhibitions, and bonded over lunch. Curriculum Manager Sarah said, "The learners had a fantastic day—this is the first of many trips!" 🌟

🚓 On 10th Sept, we celebrated #NationalEmergencyServicesDay with a visit from Nottinghamshire Police! Citizens tried on uniforms, sat in a police car, and learned how officers keep us safe. Georgia: "I loved the sirens!" Shaun: "It was amazing, I’d love more sessions!"
