Congrats on a great season Pontotoc Red Sox!!! Enjoyed watching your team battle this week. I'm from Moberly and was there to support the Sixers and cover the tournament a little. Thanks for following me. But I have to be honest. Losing sucks!!! And I didn't expect it. But one has to realize it's part of the game, and learn how to do it with pride and dignity and with total respect for the game and the opponent. And the Posox won and lost with all of that. Certainly a well coached and respectful group of men. Talked to a few of the players before the Bossier game earlier today and wished them luck. Don't know if you follow the Sixers Coach on X, but I agree with what he posted earlier. You guys were a class act. Good luck going forward.

American Legion Baseball Mid-South Region Tournament Update!! Host Washington MO eliminates Ada OK with a 2 hit gem by Andrew Elbert with the 95 pitch complete game shutdown, winning 4-0. Washington gets to keep playing and will face the winner of the next game which is the last of the undefeateds...Bossier City LA and Columbia TN, who tee it up at 3:00 this afternoon (Friday). Ada will return to Oklahoma after a 1 win two loss showing in Region play.

Game 9 was the first of two elimination games today (Friday) in the American Legion Baseball Region Tournament from Washington, MO. Pontotoc MS benefitted from two, two-out, two-run homers to send Moberly MO home. Final score was 4-3. Four runs on 5 hits for the Posox. The Sixers tallied their 3 o 4 hits but left 7 on base. Pontotoc moves on to play the loser of the third game today between Bossier City LA and Columbia TN, the only two undefeated teams remaining. Game 10, the second win or go home game starts next. It's the host team...Washington MO vs Ada OK. Five teams remain in the hunt for the title.
