Philosophically I agree At same time there is significant evidence to the contrary. 1) 11 yrs & no meaningful adoption far behind leading chains 2) Perverse incentives: IOG private co. w no transparency needs $ to survive - only incentive is to create LT roadmap & deliver a 👇

TRANSPARENCY for my vote on: Cardano Vision 2026 (CV26): TL;DR: I am voting NO: $8M, no deadlines, and payment is tied to filing reports rather than actually delivering anything. Detailed Version: As a DRep I'm voting NO on Cardano Vision 2026 (CV26). This is a 32.9M ada (~$8M) treasury withdrawal with no delivery guarantee and no deadlines. The funds release in four equal 25% tranches, triggered by: signing the services agreement, submitting a mid-year report, holding a webinar plus report, and submitting a final report. Not one of these four payments requires shipping a single paper, prototype, CPS, or CIP. Payment is tied to reporting events, not to technical output. Deliverables are listed, but they carry no dates, several are optional ("at least one of") or approximate ("~38 papers," "around 5 CIPs"), and the proposal explicitly reserves the right to deprioritise or drop any of them under its "portfolio-based" approach. Most importantly, the binding terms (acceptance criteria, delivery dates, dispute resolution) do not exist at vote time. They are deferred to a private contract between Input Output and Intersect that DReps never see and never vote on. We would be approving $8M against terms written later by the recipient and the administrator. The only real protection is that undisbursed ada returns to the treasury. Anything already paid out against a signature or a report is gone regardless of what ships. I support research funding for Cardano, but I can't approve a withdrawal of this size where payment is decoupled from delivery and the enforceable terms are left blank. I'd reconsider a revised version that ties tranches to accepted technical deliverables on a defined schedule.

Can anyone point me to a time where a third place candidate (3 days AFTER an election) suddenly has a surge where they start winning 1st place in every new drop by winning 40% of the votes in the batch? Try not to name a third world country. This is getting absolutely absurd.
🚨 BREAKING: NITHYA RAMAN JUST STUNNINGLY SURGED IN LATE MAIL-IN BALLOTS...about to take over Spencer Pratt She is down *7,500* votes now LA MAIL DROP: 🔵 Nithya Raman: 23,514 (40.2%) ‼️ 🔵 Karen Bass: 19,312 (33%) 🔴 Spencer Pratt: 10,366 (17.7%) We are watching it happen before our very eyes. California's elections are a worldwide DISGRACE. Raman is now also WINNING the "late" mail, even beating Karen Bass in that category. Imagine that. The uproar is going to be insane if she locks out Pratt from advancing to the general.

California Is Blocking a Federal Audit of Its Voter Rolls California allows first-time voters to register using forms of ID that most Americans would find surprising, including: -Gym membership card -Employer ID card -Credit or debit card -Prescription drug label -Insurance card (California provides free health coverage to undocumented immigrants) Full list: sos.ca.gov/elections/hava-id… This is permitted when a voter fails to provide a Social Security number or driver’s license at registration. Our office believes this policy deserves a closer look. We also have serious concerns about how California maintains its voter rolls. There are open questions about whether the state is promptly removing deceased voters, people who have moved, and individuals convicted of disqualifying felonies. On top of that, California allows third parties to collect and turn in ballots on voters’ behalf (a practice known as ballot harvesting) with few restrictions. This makes it difficult to track who actually received, completed, and submitted each ballot. For over a year, the Department of Justice has been trying to audit California’s voter rolls. Federal law gives the Attorney General the authority to review state voter files and confirm that only eligible U.S. citizens are voting in federal elections. @AAGDhillon sent California a letter explaining our legal authority. California refused to comply, claiming state privacy laws block the review, an argument that does not hold up because those laws don’t apply to the federal government in this context. We’ve sued California in federal court, and the case is before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. If California genuinely wants voters to trust its elections, it should open its records, not fight to keep them closed. What are they afraid of?

That's not the issue. I believe most people want the Founder to remain active, influential, and strong within the ecosystem. However, that should be accompanied by emotional stability, institutional conduct, and a willingness to engage with criticism and differing opinions. Personal attacks do not contribute to finding solutions or strengthening the community. I've noticed that whenever community members express disagreement or raise legitimate concerns, they are often met with attacks. This creates the impression that criticism is being dismissed rather than addressed, or that pressure is being applied to secure funding without proper scrutiny. No leader should be above questioning. The ability to listen to criticism, respond respectfully, and engage in self-reflection is essential for anyone in a position of influence within the ecosystem.

It's a pretty clear strategy. Make Cardano a toxic hellscape until I leave, and then they will disappear and let Cardano die. Then they will say Cardano is a failed project because Charles rugged everyone. It's a sick and twisted plan.

There's little tech explanation on this Zcash vulnerability, very serious stuff A soundness bug in their zero-knowledge proof circuit sloppiness in their elliptic curve point handling code essentially allowed unlimited forged shielded transactions That's gotta spook vendors!

This has been happening for quite some time 👇
Esco kicked out a guy for asking the most basic question on why Bitcoiners would use Cardano for any kind of yield. Esco kicked him because there was no good answer Charles could provide, his sales tactics don’t work any more. And thus, censorship is the next step.

Nobody wants to talk about this. So I’ll say it. @lace_io launched and it was a fucking disaster. This is an IOG project btw. So they can’t even launch a wallet that was being worked on for years
UPDATE: #Cardano $ADA Founder Charles Hoskinson says a mobile device has "more security in it than anything built in your bank. Trusted execution environments, a hardened kernel, trillions of dollars of companies behind it, biometric and geotagging sensors—the consumer owns it."

I believe marketing Cardano to retail is a dead end and massive waste of money at this point. Anyone who looks at 99% of charts on Cardano will stay away from DeFi. And NFTs are basically dead. So what is actually the major retail use case for Cardano you want to promote _today_?

In the world of Cardano: We really approved 200M plus after we found out the founder in Charles H has two failed businesses. (Clinic & construction company) he continuously blocks anyone trying to hold him accountable. Cardano ain’t going nowhere with that leadership. We’ll see

I can see your point of view here, I would counter: how can a new team that maybe wants to take over a small chunk of what IO is currently doing, let's say maintaining db-sync or running the testnets do it if IO submits omnibus actions right before the "community budget" period starts? Presuming the IO budget passes, you'll look at mine and say "well, we already funded IO to do it so we don't need you". This is the problem with well funded incumbents (whether independently wealthy or riding the wave of a previous year budget) and a lack of clear RFPs/Needs within the ecosystem. Let's not kid ourselves, IO/Charles are profiting from every FTE they sell to us as a community, same as any other contractor, so there is never an incentive to willingly give up any portion of work where they have already peed on the fire hydrant. So, how do we get to a level playing field where we can at least consider our options and decide, collectively, which one we want to take a chance on?

Thank you Jillian!! 🔥💪 Support native Cardano projects esp those who compete against players who came to Cardano kicking, screaming & requiring a payout👇
Did you know the “subsidy” you’re getting to mint USDCx @USDMOfficial has offered since its inception in 2024? Yeah, Moneta absorbs those fees so that YOU can mint $USDM absolutely “free.” For the last 2 years. No plans on changing any time soon. Just one of the many quiet ways @USDMOfficial, the Cardano community-led initiative, works to genuinely support Cardano. You’re welcome.

Imagine hiring a contractor to remodel your kitchen for $50k, them doing 75% of the work, walking away leaving you with no running water, no exhaust system for the stove and bare spots on the floor they were supposed to refinish then telling you the fridge, stove & countertops👇

What if in crypto you could get paid for a bunch of promises by selling a token, start a private co. & use “Cmmty controlled” treasury to fund your co. & blast all ppl who “attack” employees of your company while getting rich in the process?

Can we create some sort of social media platform that complete separates Cardano governance from the rest of the ecosystem? We need the community to focus on opportunities and experiences...not an endless stream of division and treasury proposals! Founding entity spaces are about treasury proposals! People are in crypto to make money, not to learn about treasury proposals.
