Sad news from the Isle of Man as my friend for over 30 years Alan Oversby lost his life over the weekend during the Pre-TT Classic Road Races. Alan was hugely respected within classic road racing, having secured 16 victories at the event across his career.

I think every rider hates having to make posts like this, but unfortunately I won’t be racing at Round 2 of the @RnGRacing @moto4british Cup at @DoningtonParkUK this weekend. After my crash at @Oulton_Park, I suffered a cut to my neck and also took a knock to the head. The medical team at the @OfficialBSB were absolutely amazing throughout and looked after me brilliantly. I was diagnosed with concussion which means, following the regulations, I’m unable to race for 20 days. The good news is I’ll still be attending the weekend supporting the #NWRacing team at Donington Park. Obviously I’m disappointed to miss the weekend however I’ll still be there supporting the rest of the team so please come over and say hello if you see me in the paddock. I will continue my fitness program with my Personal Trainer at Storme CrossFit Ashby and if anything, it’s made me even more motivated to get back out for the next round at @SnettertonMSV 🏁
