CLIENT SUCCESS: Meet Alex, a public housing resident who received notice from his landlord that he owed late rent fees and unexpected maintenance fees. Alex did not agree that he was liable for the maintenance fees, so he reached out to PSLS for legal help.

PSLS advocated for Alex, getting the eviction dismissed because the landlord did not provide the required length of notice, and helped him obtain a transfer voucher.

CLIENT SUCCESS: Meet Xander and his wife, Tina. They are parents to three children, and their family needed help. Life circumstances had led Xander and Tina to need to file for bankruptcy. They were in crisis, and did not know how to move forward.

Thankfully, Xander reached out to PSLS. During this difficult time, PSLS staff connected Xander with a bankruptcy attorney and PSLS pro bono volunteer. The volunteer attorney helped Xander and his wife file for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which was successfully granted.
