After a loss of power on Friday, the team worked through the night to install a new engine in the United Toyota Imperial Supra EVO2. Their dedication paid off as Ryan Eversley delivered a strong opening stint, working his way from the back of the field to midfield while avoiding trouble and gaining valuable positions before handing the car over to Karl Forman.
"Hats off to the crew. Staying up overnight to swap an engine is brutal, and it's one of the toughest jobs a mechanic can have on a race weekend," said Eversley.
Forman took over and put in a monster drive, setting some of his best laps of the weekend and continuing to move forward through the field.
"We never stopped fighting. The car was the best it had been all weekend, and the team gave us everything we needed to come back and get a result," said Forman.
The duo brought the Supra home 5th in class, matching the team's best finish of the season so far.
A huge thank you to the crew for their relentless effort and determination. The team now heads into a well-deserved summer break before returning to action in August at Road America. See you there!
