.@CityofSanJose I don’t appreciate receiving a Wireless Emergency Alert about getting vaxxed at a car show on Saturday. Not an urgent threat to life or property, distracting while driving. Please save WEA for when truly needed.

This NYT story is a fun read, but I can do without the strangely rendered gothic photos and the fact that the reporter seems not have tried to interview the Button Man. Seems more like a pitch for a Netflix series.

Drove past the Lava Fire in NorCal yesterday on our way to Seattle. In normal times, Mt. Shasta is a snow-covered volcano surrounded by lush forest, not a bare rock with a wildfire at its base. There were 50 mph winds and temps at 105 yesterday, when I took the photos.
