Big thanks to the BBC Scotland channel for letting us broadcast this sketch I'd written less than a year after they'd launched. Very well could have ended things overnight.
The BBC Scotland channel launched 5 years ago today…what a feast of programmes we have seen.
First up, our dramas…take a bow Mayflies, Guilt, Granite Harbour, Float and @bbcrivercitybbc.co.uk/tv/bbcscotland
Look out for Dog Days glimpses in here, honoured to be included.
Also be on the look out for some very exciting news coming soon from PriceyFilms.
Also be ready for something you might be able to get involved in soon that will be a piece of beautifully organised chaos 🔥🧨📹🎬
The BBC Scotland Channel celebrates 5 years!
Launched as a multi-platform service to reflect modern Scotland, its ambition to be the home of distinctive, quality programming where the audience can see more of their lives and stories remains strong.

Not sure what just happened at @glasgowfilmfest. It looked like we just saw the most accomplished, sure-footed debut feature to come out of Scotland in forever — and one of the maddest Q&As. Yes, grandkids, I was there. #GFF23
James Price’s Dog Days on the BBC iPlayer 7 April.
"He’s staked a claim as one of our best chroniclers of Glasgow"
Read our retrospective on James Price (@PriceyFilm) ahead of our screening of his shorts at the first CineSkinny Film Club! There's also a link to get tickets to the @Summerhallery event!

I also think this kind of anti scheme, anti working class attitude (we're ashamed of that image of Glasgow so let's brush it under the carpet) means that great work sometimes gets ignored or not rewarded. Bafta Scotland ignoring James Price's great short Boys Night for instance
