Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Prof.
@AjaySoodIISc, delivered a video message on the occasion of the launch of the Association of Indian Researchers and Academics in the Czech Republic (INDRA-CZ), an initiative of the
@IndiainCzechia. The association aims to bring together Indian researchers, scientists, academicians, innovators, and professionals across the Czech Republic on a common platform to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.
In his address, Prof. Sood highlighted the long-standing India–Czechia partnership, founded on mutual trust, democratic values, and a shared commitment to advancing science, technology, and innovation. He underscored the significance of INDRA-CZ in promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthening academic and professional networks, facilitating joint research and innovation projects, and enhancing engagement among universities, research institutions, industry, and startups in both countries.
Prof. Sood also highlighted several potential avenues for deepening bilateral cooperation, including nuclear energy, laser technologies, nanotechnology, robotics, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing. He noted that ongoing collaborations involving

@CSIR_IND, and the
@CzechAcademy reflects the growing momentum of India–Czechia cooperation in emerging technologies and scientific research.
He encouraged the Indian research diaspora in the Czech Republic to actively engage with opportunities emerging through initiatives such as the
@ANRFIndia and the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Fund. These initiatives are aimed at strengthening research excellence, accelerating technology translation, and expanding international collaboration.
