There are 4 things I've been saying for a little while now
1. Robey will be and already is my favourite
2. Robey and Sharp are two of the best recruits we have had since I can remember
3. Bring Bartel and Hodge to the club
4. Get a better coaching team (not just head coach)
"I haven't spoken to anyone from Essendon... I think people know that I've always had an interest, and maybe an itch to scratch to get back into club land... if the role's right."
Jimmy Bartel responded to a report linking him to the Bombers on today's episode of Footy Furnace.
The most successful caretaker coach this century has warned the Blues over rushing into handing Josh Fraser the top job despite his impressive start π bit.ly/4ek5BNX
Would Josh Fraser be the first interim coach to potentially take a team to finals?
I'm backing Carlton to make finals this year and give it a good shake up
James Hird has been quietly working behind-the-scenes to formulate βTeam Hirdβ which could join him in a coach's box next year β should he get the job π bit.ly/4wYt3b7
Listen to the people in the media supporting Hird, eg Bartel, Bucks, Lyon and the people not supporting him eg Caro, Cleary, Clark.
I know whose opinion holds more weight out of all of those
"Shouldn't you have the confidence to be able to beat someone out?"
Jimmy Bartel on coaches not being willing to compete with James Hird for the Bombers job.

If Langford, Parish, Merrett, Ridley all want to leave at seasons end. It would be a HUGE loss to our team... They are the bones and structure and heart. We need to be compensated well and properly here. They are our best players.
We should also ask AFL for priority
IYKYK...
This is becoming stupid now.
If you want the job put your hand up and go through the process. Don't look for excuses why you shouldn't apply.
Just piss off now and let Essendon do whatever they want to do
If you're wondering if the spectre of James Hird hanging over the Dons job is influencing the actual candidates, we asked two of them.
GWS's Brett Montgomery and the Dees' Troy Chaplin talked about how it compares to the Carlton vacancy, with varying degrees of frankness.

ALT Montgomery's quote, which reads: "One looks like itβs fairly open, and the other looks like itβs fairly shut." and Chaplin's quote, which reads: "Whether they want to go with James Hird, or if they want to run a proper process, I think they need to work that out first before you can declare yourself as interested in it."
I'm over everyone especially media, that has nothing to do with Essendon having a say about who should be the coach.
Have your say on Carlton coach instead
