When 90 Students Took a Test on My Platform — And I Almost Lost My Mind
Today was the day.
The Cell Biology and Genetics mock exam for Year One students in my department — built and run on Lagsciprep, a platform I coded myself.
And let me tell you: I was terrified.

Exhilarating.
Thrilling.
Unbelievable.
One year ago, this was a random domain purchase and a folder on my laptop.
Today, it hosted a real departmental exam — and didn't crash, didn't fail, didn't fold.

About 70% of the students had ZERO issues.
Seventy percent.
On a platform I built from scratch.
Running live for the first time at scale.
In a real exam scenario.
That's not just a win.

Aftermath:
When the test ended, the messages returned — but different:
"I submitted by mistake!"
"My network disappeared!"
"My phone died mid-test!"
Standard student complaints. 😅
The kind that happen with ANY exam, ANY platform.
Not catastrophic — just normal.

That was the most beautiful sound I've heard all week.

The Calm That Meant Something
Then, during the test, something shifted.
Everything went quiet.
No DMs. No panicked calls. No "Jetro, help!"
I sat there, taking the test myself (builder & student at once), and realized:
They're all focused. They're all answering. It's working.

"I can't log in"
"The page isn't loading"
"Safari is showing me shege" 😂
iPhone users, I see you. We're still debugging that one.
Every ping on my phone made my heart skip.
The nerves were real.

The Hours Before: Pure Chaos (In My Head)
I ran tests after tests after tests.
✅ Local tests
✅ Live tests
✅ Bandwidth checks (100 students submitting simultaneously)
✅ Score calculation validation
✅ Database integrity checks
And still — I was terrified.
