The first question is: are fellow Nigerians willing to build with you long-term? Many people want quick wins, not the years of consistency it takes to grow an agency.
The second question is: are the courses being sold actually delivering..🧵

One reason Indians are so successful on Upwork is their pricing and the insane number of agencies they've built. Those agencies create opportunities for other Indians, helping more people gain experience, land projects, and grow faster.
In Nigeria, most of our idols want to sell courses or build personal brands. Very few are building agencies that create jobs and open doors for others.
The number of Indian agencies on Upwork is massive, and that network effect has helped a lot of their people succeed on the platform.
We seem to love the solo hustle, but if we're serious about catching up, we need more builders creating opportunities for others. Right now, we're still far behind.
Hopefully some of you guys can come together build an agency and hire some freelancers while they learn from you they gain experience and they become global talents.

Yesterday, @RunmyJobpro entered partnership discussions with two international firms. One is a company whose MVP I helped build and still actively develop.
Signed agreements are already in place, and we’re working toward adding employee sourcing, talent matching, and contract opportunities directly into the platform.
This has the potential to become one of the most impactful moves in an industry that’s becoming increasingly saturated, while also helping address some of the challenges and biases freelancers from certain regions face.
The vision is bigger than job applications. Long term, RunMyJobPro could become a complete business hub connecting people with jobs, talent, contracts, and opportunities worldwide.

I got an idea for the MVP.
I feel users will simply create an account using their email, upload one or more CVs, and specify their job niche, preferred roles, and locations.
The platform then automatically searches for relevant job opportunities, analyzes job descriptions using OpenAI or Anthropic API, selects the most suitable CV for each role, generates a personalized application email, and submits the application on the user’s behalf.
The goal is to make the experience extremely simple, especially for non-technical users. Once a profile is set up, the system handles job discovery, matching, and applications automatically without requiring users to manually search or apply.
Initially, all AI processing will run through a shared OpenAI API managed by the platform, allowing users to access the service without providing their own API keys or need dev skills.
The MVP will focus on speed, simplicity, and automation while validating user demand before introducing advanced features or paid plans.
Will use my personal GitHub Account to make the push but tech users can still get the open source repo on my Backup3 GitHub account that i sent the url on the comment page.

That's why I built one small automation on Zapier that sends WhatsApp message to me when I receive emails that contains words like interview and employment..
