The keynote address by Chude Jideonwo @Chude at the second edition of the TINE Africa @tine_africa Change Makers Conference was a needed wake-up call. The world is changing at an incredibly fast pace, and the truth is simple — if we fail to adapt, innovate, and evolve, we may be left with no option but to watch from the other side of the fence. Relevance in today’s world belongs to those who are willing to learn, unlearn, and move with change. It was such a pleasure meeting Chude Jideonwo in person and experiencing his brilliance beyond the screens and stories. Conversations like this remind us why growth, courage, and transformation must remain constant. #TimeAfricaChangeMakersConference #ChudeJideonwo #ChangeMakers

From powerful keynote sessions to thought-provoking conversations, inspiring speakers, meaningful connections, and unforgettable moments — the 2nd Edition of the @tine_africa Changemakers Conference was nothing short of extraordinary. This wasn't just another conference; it was a gathering of visionaries, innovators, leaders, and changemakers committed to shaping a better future for Africa. Every session challenged perspectives. Every speaker delivered value. Every moment carried purpose. As I look back on these highlights, I'm reminded that real change begins when great minds gather in the same room with a shared commitment to growth, impact, and transformation. It was an honour once again to serve as the Host and Master of Ceremonies for this remarkable platform. Kudos to the Convener, @PrinxLouis , and the entire TINE Africa team for consistently raising the bar. The future belongs to those bold enough to create it. #TINEAfrica #TINEAfricaChangemakersConference #Changemakers #AYNigeria

A heartfelt appreciation to my brother and Guest Mentor, @PrinxLouis , for delivering an exceptional session at Connect & Grow 7.0. His insights challenged us to rethink development beyond physical infrastructure and focus on what truly matters—people, mindset, skills, and human capital development. It was a deeply engaging and technical conversation that broadened perspectives and inspired intentional growth. The value shared was immense, and the feedback from participants speaks volumes about the impact of the session. Thank you for investing your time, knowledge, and experience into the next generation. Connect & Grow 7.0 is richer because of your contribution. We celebrate you and look forward to many more impactful conversations ahead. #ConnectAndGrow7 #GuestMentor #HumanCapitalDevelopment #GlobalCitizenship
This edition of the CONNECT & GROW 7.0 brought together first-class students and outstanding graduates—young people who have distinguished themselves through discipline, consistency, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. These are individuals who understand what it means to read deeply, grow intentionally, and pursue mastery beyond the classroom. It was inspiring to engage with them, hear their perspectives, and remind them that academic excellence is not the finish line, but a foundation for greater impact. A big shout-out to all the first-class students and best graduating students who joined us for this 7th edition of Connect & Grow. Your presence elevated the conversations and reaffirmed why spaces like this matter. We are intentional about creating environments where brilliance is nurtured, direction is given, and young people are shown pathways beyond achievement into purpose and influence. To every student who showed up ready to learn, grow, and connect—this is only the beginning. We look forward to doing even more with you at the 8th edition. #ConnectAndGrow7 #AcademicExcellence #FirstClassMinds

A few years ago, conversations around “studying abroad” used to sound distant to many young people around us. For some, it felt impossible. For others, it felt like an opportunity reserved for only the wealthy, connected, or exceptionally lucky. But over time, I have watched ordinary young Nigerians rewrite their stories through the right information, mentorship, access, and courage. I have seen people who once struggled with confidence now studying in countries they only saw on YouTube. I have seen scholarship rejection emails turn into fully funded admissions. I have seen young people leave rooms of confusion and enter rooms of global relevance. And that is exactly why the 7th Edition of Connect & Grow with AY Nigeria matters. This edition is not just another event. It is a room for possibilities. A room where conversations around JAPA, scholarships, international education, and global opportunities will no longer remain abstract dreams but practical discussions with someone who has helped many people navigate that path successfully. Our guest mentor, Prince Louis Omolayo Adekola @PrinxLouis is one of the respected voices in international education consulting, and he will be in the room LIVE — not behind a screen, not through a webinar, but physically present to share insights, answer questions, and guide attendees honestly. If you have: • Ever wondered how scholarship applications truly work… • Tried before and failed… • Been confused about the right country, school, or route… • Or simply want clarity on how to position yourself globally… Then you should not miss this session. Connect and Grow with AY Nigeria has always been beyond networking. It is about growth, access, mentorship, and building a generation that is informed enough to compete globally. Attendance is FREE. But registration is compulsory. bit.ly/3GbBpGk And because this is a deliberate mentorship gathering, your application responses must be thoughtful and intentional to be selected. Someone shared an opportunity with you once. This might be your turn to share one with someone else. #ConnectAndGrowWithAYNigeria #Scholarships #Japa #InternationalEducation

Five years ago, I left Nigeria with two suitcases and a lot of uncertainty. Today… I’m packing again. But this time, I’m going back home ❤️ Not because things didn’t work out but because it’s time to build something of my own. I’ve missed home. The food. The people. The peace. The warmth. So I’m going back to start a fresh chapter… something close to my heart. Fresh Nigerian meals. A space that feels like home. A place where no one feels alone. It’s been on my mind for a while… and I think I’m finally ready. Nigeria, I’m coming home 🇳🇬

Btw, when both of you, @whichayo & @KendysonD, are ready to shake hands, call me 🤙 We can do a Space, will moderate personally. The Creator Economy in Nigeria, and even Africa at large, is still very small & we need all hands on deck to grow it. #messengerOfPeace

Over the weekend, I had the privilege of meeting with Wajid Minhas, the Global Recruitment & Marketing Manager at the University of Gloucestershire, UK 🇬🇧. After weeks of engagement and knowledge sharing, it was really lovely to finally get to sit down with Wajid and share insights into the recruitment landscape in Nigeria, and Africa - in broader terms. Hearing him commend me and my team for the incredible work that we do at @tine_africa was such a delight. I particularly loved how our conversation moved beyond how @laprinxoconsult can support the university's marketing and recruitment endeavours in the region, but also to the psycho-social factors that contribute to student choices, how AI and technology can be leveraged in advancing international education, as well as mastering student diversification in recruitment. I look forward to our future engagements and a mutually beneficial relationship that not only supports your recruitment goals, but also provides better opportunities for African students. #education #highereducation #internationaleducation #studyabroad #nigeria #africa #tineafrica #laprinxoconsult #uogloucestershire #prinxlouis #thoughtleader

I am trying to get active (again) on X. The interesting conversations & viewpoints that I saw here over the weekend about marketing, ethics, and so on were very enlightening. I hope education twitter (if it exists) is as exciting as marketing twitter. And I got a blue tick 😉

Mainbabe has an event. Sidebabe decides to run ads around the venue of Mainbabe’s event. Mainbabe gets upset, and makes some calls to have the ads removed. Sidebabe comes to Twitter - saying she was expecting “fair” and lighthearted banter. Since they are in the same creator economy. Mainbabe airs Sidebabe. Sidebabe has now been crashing out - saying even a leading chief at Mainbabe was formerly at Sidebabe, and was fired because he was a 2 mins man. Couldn’t perform. So yeah…. Here you go
Please what’s going on on marketing twitter. I’m so lost.

I have used Selar @tryselar for quite some time, and beyond the clean, easy-to-navigate interface, their support has been exceptional. I was particularly impressed when they sponsored a few people to participate in the January Scholarships Cafe challenge. What stands out even more is how they continue to support the student community every year. It’s perfectly fine to promote other platforms, but rating Selar below par doesn’t seem fair given the value they bring.

This is the closing track on Ali’s 1999 album Niafunké, named after P.W. Botha - apartheid-era South African leader who opposed democracy. Ali turns it into a rebuke of hatred and oppression, reportedly inspired by Khaira Arby’s 1986 performance in Timbuktu.

The International Education Africa Summit @tine_africa stands as the biggest international education gathering in Africa, and 2025 did not end without the privilege of taking the stage once again for this impactful two-day experience. Day One was a masterclass in excellence—ideas exchanged, visions aligned, and standards raised.
