In 1994, Richard Miles was convicted of a murder he didn't commit and later exonerated. A witness named a suspect but law enforcement never turned it over. Texas passed the Richard Miles Act in 2021. Now, police must disclose ALL evidence at filing and sign a written statement.

Our new Pre-Release Program has launched inside the Sanders Estes Unit with 30 men preparing to return home within 6 months. The program begins reentry support before release to give participants the tools, guidance, and foundation needed to navigate the realities they may face.
