Exciting news from
#Aleo, we look forward to further collaboration with the team as to bring a robust
#ZeFi ecosystem to the everyone!
As Aleo prepares for mainnet, we will recalibrate the network from Sept 27th-Oct 11th, testing final features and fixes.
By testing Aleo to its limits, we will launch the most secure and innovative ZK network ever created🔒
Full announcement below ↓
Similar to the launch of Testnets I and II, this period will usher in a number of key, fundamental changes to the network, including the final version of our consensus mechanism and fixes, as well as features such as fixed-array support, hash functions, and signatures.
During this period, the network will not be reliable for purposes other than testing. This means that deployed programs may be deleted or not function normally, features may turn on and off, and support for network issues will be limited beyond a “testing” scope.
It is important to note that developers will experience limited functionality during this time, especially with the finalize function, as we are testing beta features; errors should be expected and considered normal.
Helpful ways to test:
• Write programs that implement some of our newly released features (e.g. Arrays)
• Deploy and execute programs both using the CLI tools and the Aleo SDK.
• Look through newly shipped code like the staking logic in credits.aleo.
The snarkOS/VM feature freeze begins Oct 1
• This means no new features until post-mainnet
• All future commits will be oriented to perf changes,
e.g., audit fixes and speed improvements
Stress testing will happen from November 6-17th and will include designs to:
• Break systems
• Steal funds
• Malicious proofs
• Double-spends
• And much more red hatting
Together, we are pioneering the future of privacy. Each contribution makes Aleo stronger - thank you for helping ZK become a reality.
