Japan’s away jersey (the white one with pinstripes they just showed fans wearing in the crowd) is beautiful

Germany vs Curacao quickly went from a feel good story and potentially fun game to a thrashing in an instant

Derek Stingley Jr. (24) as the outside CB to the bottom of the screen in cover 3, reading the route distribution & QB and then undercutting the seam for an INT

Gustavo Alfaro, the Paraguay coach, puts defeat down to the "complexity" of the US approach. "They dominated tactically, technically and physically... they create a pentagon in midfield... they have a solution to every problem".

Marvin Harrison Jr. (18) using stem work to turn the CB inside out at the top of the screen -gets the CB to widen by driving slightly outside on his release -sells upfield/inside with a gear change and body language -gets out of his break clean & quick

Marvin Harrison Jr. (18) at the top of the screen. Great timing on the double move to lose the CB, then goes up and gets it over two defenders

Another 13p example from CHI the Bills could tap into: Kincaid-Kmet (85), Knox-Loveland (84), Hawes-Smythe (81) -MIN comes out in base/4 DBs -CHI motions the TE right before the snap -PA counter look -TE engages the Edge then leaks out

Hyper specific example here (2-pt conversion) but here is Ben Johnson, arguably the best play designer/caller when it comes to TEs going with 13 jumbo personnel, which GB answers with only 1 DB. The Bears shift & get Loveland (84) vs a LB 1-on-1

Also it’s just fun to watch what Ben Johnson does with TEs. And his offense in general

This will also tie into what the Bills offensive wrinkle/tweak will be for 2026. In 2025, it was TE Jackson Hawes essentially replacing their 6 OL looks from previous years. The Bills went from a league leading 6 OL rate of 12.8% in 2023 and 15.2% in 2024, to 1.9% in 2025 (which was 20th) In 2026, I’m looking for more 13p with Dalton Kincaid split out/detached from the formation to take advantage of his ability as a route runner & pass catcher, get him more favorable blocking matchups. This could also tie into the Bills going heavy but operating from more traditional spread looks, like being in 13p but aligned in gun empty with a 3x2 (I also expect more of this idea league wide). I’m also anticipating Hawes getting more fullback/F/H looks.

The Bears went heavy but operated from spread, which led to a mismatch being created. Granted it also helps that Loveland is viable as both an inline TE and pass catcher in space

The Bills success out of 13p in 2025 is notable, as is their “heavy” personnel package diversity 22p: 12.7% 12p: 11.1% 21p: 8.9% 13p: 5% 22p & 21p should see dips in 2026 without Gilliam, leading to a rise in 12p & 13p (which should also receive a boost from a healthy Kincaid)
The Rams overshadowed the rest of the NFL in 13p usage with 388 plays in 2026 (the Steelers were 2nd at 135 plays) The Bills ran 63 plays from 13p which ranked 11th, but they were very good from it (though the sample size is much smaller): 1st EPA/play 2nd success rate 2nd EPA/pass 1st passing success rate 3rd explosive pass rate (15 yards) 3rd EPA/rush 4th rushing success rate 2nd explosive run rate (10 yards)

Jeffery Simmons (98) shooting the B gap for the TFL safety combo. Looks like a missed assignment leaves Simmons largely unimpeded, but seeing a 300 pound IDL move with this kind of twitch/quickness and agility is worth noting
