34 percent of Harvard students are white. 43 percent of those students are either legacies, children of faculty, kin of donors or a recruited athlete. 75 percent of them would not have gotten in if not for special status (National Bureau of Economic Research).
But when in doubt, blame the Black people!
A reminder for those recruiting for VC:
Dress casually!
99% of the time your interviewer is going to show up in casual attire. VC is more like startup culture than finance culture. At least this is true for the early stages.
Showing up in formal attire is not necessary.

For the past 4.5 years we’ve focused on building community at Arcbound. Not paid ads, not transactional sales tactics, not a short term approach.
And that’s paying off. Every week we see the compounding returns in qualified referrals, talent intros, and PR opportunities to drive our vision forward.
In a short term world, those that play the long term game will win in the end.
