My kiddo is driving a Captain Janeway plush around the house on a toy horse, and it feels like a parenting win today.

Don't get me wrong. I'm pretty pissed about how poorly Texas has handled this winter storm situation.
But...
It illuminated a lot of holes in our own preparedness plans. We'll learn and be better prepared.
Having help got us though, and we want pay that forward next time.

Well, we've had power for 24 hrs for the 1st time since Sunday. No broken pipes so far, & it was so f-ing cold out that we didn't lose our whole fridge.
We were very lucky.
We're investing in an off grid heater and camp stove, though.
Now, where's my disaster bingo card...
