A story of a returning to D2 player after a looong break (me): Login and I’m met with 5 Eververse bundle pop ups, which is very annoying because it takes so long to buy all of them. I see the Salad man is giving away a free PvE god roll so it’s time for Iron Banner. I can’t use any of my sick ass cosmetics because I need to dress like a medieval knight for maximum rep for some reason. Load in my first match, the epic choir builds up, I’m ready to fight, and then I sit in a black screen for 10 seconds before everyone spawns (lol) I get absolutely dumpstered because the game still has my MMR as being god’s gift to Destiny PvP so it gives me fellow Jims on my team against the Olympic Dream Team. Game ends and I can’t even see my stats to laugh at how bad I did. Next 2 games I embrace my Michael Jordan flu game aura. There’s still 80,900 auto tracking abilities, but that’s ok because at least Hand Cannons feel godly if my feet are perfectly planted on the ground. I finally acquire the sidearm after my 3 game marathon. I love Destiny but it desperately needs a sequel/fresh start

The only path forward for Destiny is 3. Otherwise the incremental downward trend will continue, layoffs continue, and the IP dies.

NEW: Iron Banner will now last for 2 Weeks There will be two weapons added to Iron Banner during Echoes. The first weapon is a renewed Crimil’s Dagger. It’s still a Kinetic Aggressive Hand Cannon, but now it comes with a small bump to its stats and perks like Precision Instrument or Kill Clip. The other weapon available is Claws of the Wolf, a Rapid-Fire Frame Void Pulse Rifle with fan-favorite perks like Headseeker and Zen Moment, although the new perks like To the Pain are worth checking out, too.
