I'll talk about it in 3 points. 1) it is extremely abusive and controlling to try and force/guilt trip your oshi to collab with men if she doesn't want to. That makes you a terrible fan, because fans are not entitled to their oshi's collab choice. I have seen this mindset being rampant in the fujoshi side of VTubing. The inverse is also true. Forcing your oshi to never collab with men. But these get called out publicly very often. Not so much the other way around. 2) there's a litany of other reasons a woman VTuber would choose to not collab with men. A - She just doesn't like it B - it doesn't fit her vibe C - she's a GFE streamer D - she consider streaming her "home" E - she's got some form of trauma And most importantly. F - she just doesn't want to I could keep listing until we all get bored. But reducing the discourse to "it's the unicorns". I find to be intellectually insulting. 3) there's also male and female VTuber who refuse to collab with women. Yet to this day I have never seen a single post of someone complaining about it. So I've had a few people asking why I was silent to people in the crowd during the Pippa meet and greet, and brushed people off/past them quickly and shut my monitor off the instant my time to say hello to her was done. I am very gracious that the event coordinator i communicated with beforehand allowed even that hello to happen. First and above all, I was there as a fan to see someone i enjoy and support a company/the girls i appreciate and am fond of. It would have felt greasy and disingenuous to try and leverage that, It would be like, inviting people to a birthday party and a guest showing up demanding one of the presents for themselves. i really didnt want to draw any attention away from the meetup by looking like i was promoting myself.
