As the incoming head of Carleton's journalism program, I'm deeply committed to the steps we're taking today to foster greater diversity and inclusion @JSchool_CU and to tackle institutionalized racism. This is just a beginning.

Magical. That's the only way to describe what it was like to see our dear friend Ann Laubstein at her Convocation for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Mental Health at Carleton University, a triumph in her mid-80s and on top of a string of other degrees.

Convocation, one of the best days on the academic calendar. A joy to participate in today's graduation ceremony for the new batch of Bachelor of Journalism and Master of Journalism graduates from Carleton University. Did it myself 40 years ago this week. Never looked back.
