I think the time has come to pause twitter. With so many being made redundant this is repugnant. Musk’s intentions are not clear, certainly more unregulated and probably not good for society. It’s been an interesting journey and occasionally dubious journey. Good bye💙

A very interesting short thread
I am so so sorry to hear that the brilliant Herman Daly - founding father of ecological economics - has died. His paradigm-changing work flipped my little econ head inside out & inspired me to write a book on rewriting economics… Here are just some of his big ideas 1/n.

Good grief. Climate change catastrophe? Don’t worry, use reusable cups! Unbelievable and depressing lack of leadership

This clip is so revealing. You can become a Cabinet Minister and be very successful in British politics without thinking in an serious way about the biggest global and economic challenge we face. The blind spot is going to get us all killed.

So true, don’t complain about the traffic when u are the traffic
Letters from urban car drivers complaining about the traffic, blaming bus lanes etc, but also saying they can’t get out of their cars until public transport improves. Catch 22 situation. irishtimes.com/opinion/lette…

This is ridiculously unbelievable that a CLIMATE MINISTER can be so anti-climate. It breaks my heart
It’s hard to read this: “Fracking and drilling for new oil and gas in the North Sea is green and good for the environment, Liz Truss’s new climate minister said on Wednesday” theguardian.com/environment/…

I’d rather bathe in a forest than in the sea. I find forests enriching and beaches boring
Regular contact with nature does improve our wellbeing @UccTrees Time for some forest bathing @UccTrees ? @eoinlettice @EmmaHutch1

It is crazy we move a tonne of metal around to get us from a to b. And then sit and wait in traffic jams because all those tonnes of metal take up too much space. What are we doing!
