Where’s all the Liberal & National party members who worked towards & supported the bill that the LNP originally supported in Parliament? Where’s the people who wanted truth telling before the voice? Don’t let Indigenous people be used as a political football! #Qldpol#Qld
Statement by Qld Truth-telling and Healing Inquiry Chairperson, Joshua Creamer
"It must be noted that this is unprecedented. It is unheard of that an independent Inquiry be shut down by a change of government... a lost opportunity for the state."
Fabulous to have the wonderful Sabina Knight @nwqran from Central QLD Centre for Rural & Remote Health visit us at #UDRHSW in Bunbury this week. Great things happening in rural health across the country. Sharing experiences so important.

🌸 It's Women's Health Week! 🌸
Let's take a moment to highlight the unique challenges women face when it comes to brain injuries. At Synapse we're shining a light on an important issue: the connection between brain injuries and domestic violence.💜
ECU is proud to welcome Associate Professor Jocelyn Jones who's groundbreaking research into the tragic issue of domestic, family and sexual violence has been awarded a significant grant from @ANROWS. Read it on ECU Newsroom here: bit.ly/4d73Nos and in @nit_times
We are incredibly fortunate to work with Geoffrey Binge, RBWH Cultural Capabilities Officer. Here he is presenting on priorities for post stroke aphasia service development - a project for which he provided advice on the inclusion of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people.

Today, at the conclusion of Reconciliation Week, we celebrate Mabo Day.
In 1992, the Mabo decision acknowledged the traditional rights of Indigenous people to their land and waters.
We continue to honour the land and water rights of Aboriginals and/or Torres Strait Islanders.
Where’s the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island women, services, & researchers on the expert panel? This is either a gross oversight or a misjudgement considering the panel’s purpose, who’s at greatest risk of #violence, & the $1.3m investment. See abc.net.au/news/2024-05-28/v…#Auspol
