In line with last year's commitment, @SHUDocSchool is continuing to align its PhD stipends with the net RLW. Following last month's announcement from @LivingWageUK we're pleased to confirm this now means a FT rate of £19,722 for 2023/24 (ie £1,100 above the UKRI stipend level).

Following our commitment to align PhD student stipends with the Net Real Living Wage, @SHUDocSchool is pleased to confirm our 2022/23 rate as £18,178. Henceforth, we shall continue to base our stipend on the @LivingWageUK RLW, unless/until that is exceded by the @UKRI_News rate.

Much to digest after a week discussing grad ed with sector leads from the US, Canada and NZ. The @CAGS_OTTAWA conf in Victoria showcased innovations in employability and supervisor engagement, while the group of FULL PROF @JuliePosselt at USC in LA are sooo goood on recruitment !
